Technical Traders
A participant must register with the SIX Swiss Exchange all order systems that initiate transactions
in its name and under its own responsibility within the context of the General Conditions.
The technical Trader ID is a means of identification that is issued by the SIX Swiss Exchange to a
participant upon special request and for the exclusive use of order systems.
The participant must designate a registered trader as contact person in this regard.
Order systems that require registration are, in particular, the following:
-
Quote engines: quote engines are automatic quote systems that generate
orders and, based on the participant's predefined price specifications and other parameters,
forward them to the trading system of the SIX Swiss Exchange.
-
Electronic eyes: electronic eyes are computer programs that scan and
analyse market prices disseminated by SIX Swiss Exchange. They generate an order for execution on
the SIX Swiss Exchange if current market prices are fluctuating within a corridor defined by the participant.
-
Order-routing systems: order-routing systems are electronic mechanisms
that participants use for the sole purpose of automatically transmitting orders directly
to the SWX Platform
(i.e. in particular for the entry, modification and cancellation of orders).
A participant must submit the
appropriate form for the technical Trader ID that it intends to register with the SIX Swiss Exchange.
Changes must also be reported using this form.
