Does the global economy need a new framework?

This was the key issue at the first exclusive event of the "Idea Exchange - Spirit Exchange" series of panel discussions to which the SIX Swiss Exchange invited its share and bond issuers.

The two high-calibre guest speakers - Professor Dr. Joseph E. Stiglitz, Nobel Laureate, and Professor Dr. Bert Rürup, Head of Germany's Five Wise Men - made clear the background and impact of the financial crisis and presented possible solutions for stabilising public finances.

The elegant ambience of the Dolder Grand in Zurich provided the ideal framework for the first in a series of high-calibre panel discussions. Ample positive feedback during subsequent cocktails confirmed that, with this event, the SIX Swiss Exchange succeeded in initiating a dialogue between issuers and the Exchange and in giving abundant food for thought.
